Earning Rewards
Users can earn rewards either as a validator or a delegator. A user running a validator node can only receive rewards if:
They have been voted into the SX Network validator set and are actively proposing and building blocks that are successfully added to the chain
They are running the latest version of sx-node (https://github.com/sx-network/sx-node) and have their node configured to participate in reporting according to the SX Network documentation and latest version of our validator repo (https://github.com/sx-network/validator)
They successfully reported a market outcome – a validator successfully reporting an outcome means that the validator was recognized as having placed a majority outcome vote for that market.
A validator who has successfully reported a market outcome can also earn additional rewards for that market from commission fees paid out by delegating users once they claim their own rewards.
A user can only receive delegator rewards if:
They delegated a stake of their WSX to an active validator
Their validator successfully reported a market outcome during the time that the user was delegating their stake to them – a validator successfully reporting an outcome means that the validator was recognized as having placed a majority outcome vote for that market
Stakers will over time see their rewards accrue as Pending Rewards which they can claim whenever they choose to.
